A Private Dinner - Valentine's Day dinner dates are supposed to be romantic, but there's nothing magical about an overcrowded, noisy restaurant. And stressing yourself out by trying to cook the perfect meal isn't fun, either. Splurge a little and hire a private chef to come over and cook your date’s favorite cuisine. Then, decorate your place accordingly. Bae will be over the moon at your "Little Italy"-themed dinner date. (Photo: Inti St Clair/Blend Images/Corbis)

Do Good Together - This holiday can sometimes be a haunting reminder for lonely individuals. Instead of parading your love around town, grab your Valentine and volunteer somewhere to show someone else they matter. There are tons of outreach groups to participate in and many ways to put a smile on someone's face. Paint a positive mural in your town, help out at a soup kitchen, or even write cards for an elderly home. You'll feel good doing good together. (Photo: Tim Pannell/Corbis)

Go Sightseeing in Your City - Many of us are guilty of passing by the same buildings, attractions and beautiful views on our way to work or home, never taking the time to really appreciate them. Make a list with your Valentine of all the sights you want to hit up and then spend the day taking a "tour" of your city. Bring a Polaroid camera to take cute pics along the way and create a scrapbook of your memorable day.  (Photo: Randy Faris/Corbis)

House Hunting - Remember playing "house" when you were a kid? Well, this is the adult version. Grab your Valentine and make a list of the best house/apartment listings in your area, get dressed up and go browsing for your dream house. Whether you’re actually in the market for a new home or not, who cares. Just take in the high of talking about a future together and whether those bay windows will match your quirky decor. Valentine's Day Scavenger Hunt - This takes lots of creativity and lots of prep, but it’s totally worth it. Surprise them in the morning with the first clue. Stick it to their coffee cup, car windshield or send an email when they arrive at work (extra points for creating a cute riddle to go along with the clue). That clue will lead to more clues, each taking them on a romantic adventure of significant moments in your relationship. The final clue should end in a replica of your first date, first kiss or first time you said, "I love you,” making this one epic trip down memory lane. (Photo: Mina Chapman/Corbis)
