So Far Gone to NWTS: Drake Keeps Winning

Don't miss Drake tonight at 6P/5C!

Drake - A free Drake concert ended before it even began in 2010 at New York's South Street Seaport, when a "raucous crowd" mobbed the scene before Drake even hit the stage. According to fans, it was absolute mayhem as masses of drunk people were pushing to get to the front of the stage, igniting random fist fights throughout the crowd. Not only were fans disappointed when the concert was canceled, Drizzy was sad about it as well. "I am humbled by the crowd that showed up in support of my performance," he said through his spokeswoman. "Unfortunately, the show was canceled by the NYPD due to overcrowding, leaving me without the chance to give my fans a real show."(Photo: Rick Diamond/Getty Images for MTV)

So Far Gone to NWTS: Drake Keeps Winning - It was evident from Drake's mixtape days that his future was bright. Now three albums into what is going to be a career on par with Jay Z's, Drizzy is celebrating the release of Nothing Was the Same. And to be clear; he's not the same. He's older, wiser and just keeps getting better. Don't miss Drake tonight on 106!(Photo: Rick Diamond/Getty Images for MTV)

Drake, So Far Gone - Drake's So Far Gone, released in February 2009, broke through like few mixtapes ever before. "Best I Ever Had" became a major radio hit and landed a Grammy nomination, and Drake signed a deal with Young Money in the aftermath. A stripped-down EP version of So Far Gone was released in September to capitalize on the buzz, eventually going gold.   (Photo: Young Money)
