Michael Jackson x ATV Music Publishing - When Michael Jackson learned the value of music pubishing, he changed the game and began acquiring catalogues that "meant something to him," like Sly & the Family Stone songs. He eventually acquired ATV Music Publishing, sold to MJ in 1985 for $47.5 million, and giving him ownership of, most significantly, a bunch of the Beatles' songs, which ruffled the feathers of fellow pop royal Paul McCartney. MJ held on to the share, however, allowing a merger with his label home, Sony. Another merger later (with EMI), the company is now the largest music publishing house in the world, and his estate still rakes in cash from it.(Photo: Havakuk Levison/Reuters)

Michael Jackson - A performer's dream was what the late Michael Jackson was to many a fan and artist alike. We truly believe that Tribbett took a few pages out of Jackson's perfomance book for his lively, forehead sweating praise routines. (Photo: Havakuk Levison/reuters)

?If I Was a Bird? - At some point crooning about love can feel a little forced. And that?s the case with the song ?If I Was a Bird.? Over a skipping 808 beat sprinkled with lilting harp notes, Fantasia tells her beau if she was TRULY fed up with his mess, she?d be out? flying like a bird, of course.   (Photo: Erika Goldring/Getty Images)

Fantasia - On the stage, no one's energy matches Fantasia's! Point. Blank. Period. Not only can you expect to laugh, cry, shout and dance, but you'll also be expected to feel the music throughout your whole soul when she performs.(Photo: Erika Goldring/Getty Images)

James Brown ? President Mobutu Sese Sek - Mobutu Sese Seko, president of Zaire (now named the Democratic Republic of Congo), tapped the Godfather of Soul along with B.B. King, Celia Cruz and Bill Withers for a 1974 music festival. Seko is accused of torture and embezzlement.(Photo: Paul Hawthorne/WireImage)

James Brown - The "Godfather of Soul" knew exactly how to put on a show. James Brown even influenced Michael Jackson's performance style. Can you "Get On Up" with the connection? Don't miss Tye Tribbett's performance on the Celebration of Gospel stage. April 6 at 8P/7C.(Photo: Paul Hawthorne/WireImage)
