A$AP Rocky was named the creative director for MTV Labs, a new "creative incubator” developed with the Harlem rapper, in September 2016. It’s a first-look deal that will give Rocky and his creative company AWGE the opportunity “to create original content...and develop branded content for advertisers in partnership with Viacom Velocity,” according to a press release.
Since childhood, Rocky has had a love for Guess. In April 2017, it was announced that A$AP and Guess would be releasing their third collection together, this time for the summer.
Rocky's assistant, A$AP Lou, became part of his crew simply because he came to every A$AP Mob concert as a fan. Rocky noticed him and called him up to the stage one day. Ever since, the rest has been history.
Rocky was one of four creatives highlighted for Dior’s FW '16 campaign, the others being film director Larry Clark of Kids fame, actor Rod Paradot and model Dylan Roques.
The rapper claims to have started the trend of skinny jeans. He remembers a time when he was made fun of for going to the tailor to get his jeans taken in. Now everyone wears them!
Rocky loves Tumblr, but doesn't really enjoy Instagram's layout. He decided to take matters into his own hands and completely switch up the look of his page. His visually appealing Instagram page was made in coordination with Robert Gallardo, who is now creative director for his agency AWGE.
