    Gucci Mane grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He had a love for poetry as a child and began rapping at the age of 14.

    1017 is a reoccuring number in LaFlare's life. The number stems from his grandfather's home address. 1017 Brick Squad is the name of his team and Gucci recently announced that it would be his wedding date.

  3. 21 x Gucci

    Gucci is 21 Savage's inspiration. In an interview with HotNewHipHop, 21 Savage said, "He opened up a lane for street n*****s to rap from East Atlanta, so that's why I salute Gucci."

  4. Bart Simpson

    Gucci Mane’s been known for his expensive grills, but it was his 2007 Simpsons character that got everyone’s attention. He even wrote a song about it: "Iced Out Bart."

    Gucci recalled a time before jail when he would record so much to the point where he would put out any and everything he recorded. He admits some records may have not been his best work. But since returning home from jail, he's been taking his time with recording. He now believes quality over quantity is important.

    In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Gucci recalled meeting Mike WiLL when he was 17 and feeling like he wasn't ready to sign him to Brick Squad. Regardless, he helped him out at a young age. 

  7. The Wopsters Come to BET

    On November 22, 2016, Gucci Mane proposed to his longtime girlfriend Keyshia Ka’oir at an Atlanta Hawks game and BET is excited to announce that we will be bringing you along for the journey to wedded bliss!

    The untitled docuseries will follow the twists and turns of hip-hop power couple Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir as they work to blend their families and defy the odds while they prepare for the most extravagant celebrity wedding of the year.
