    Coming from Long Island, New York, De La Soul is a hip-hop group comprised of three members. The group includes Posdnuos, Trugoy the Dove (Dave) and Pasemaster Mase.

  2. Feeling like it's 1989!

    In 1989, De La Soul released their debut album 3 Feet High and Rising. The album automatically made them leaders in the Native Tongues posse, which included groups like A Tribe Called Quest.

    Eclectic hip-hop fused with funk, soul and great lyrics is what the group is best known for. There music was alternative hip-hop that produced great sounds and beats.

  4. Grammy Time!

    Their collaboration with Gorillaz on "Feel Good Inc." helped win De La Soul a Grammy in 2006!

  5. Tour Anyone?

    Music kept continuing to boom for the group and, in 2008 they went on tour. The Rock the Bells tour was comprised of other alternative hip-hop groups, including A Tribe Called Quest and The Pharcyde.

    In 2011, De La Soul earned a Top 5 ranking on National Public Radio's and Soul Train's year-end "Best of" lists.

    In 2009, De La Soul partnred with a major company, Nike, for a collaboration and an album. The trio partnered with the company's "Are You In?: Nike+ Original Run" campaign and released an album titled Are You In? during the collaboration. It was the group's first album release in five years.

  8. Fast Forward to the White House

    In the beginning of 2015, De La Soul created a Kickstarter campaign to help fund their next album. The group raised a lot of money and the album, & the Anonymous Nobody, arrived this past August. Now, the group is doing amazing things like performing for the president at the White House!
