Morgan Freeman stars as the real-life, fearless South African leader Nelson Mandela in this moving film about breaking barriers and overcoming odds.

As Mandela, Freeman sees the game of rugby as a way to unite South Africa and diffuse any tensions that may exist between Black natives and White Africans who traveled to South Africa in the 17th century Afrikaners. After much triumph and strife, Freeman soon finds that bringing together a segmented country will take all the courage, energy and power he can muster.

In portraying Mandela, Freeman realizes "he's the master of his [country's] fate, and the captain of his [country's] soul."

Tune in to Invictus, Thursday at 9P/8C, directly following the BET Special Mandela: Freedom's Father airing at 8P/7C.
