The Revolution Will Be Digitized: Tyrese's Black Boy Joy Effect

He knows his mother was a queen that raised a king. His latest promotion on IG is to promote shirts that raise money for women and men of color to uplift one another.

  2. Take that leap, sis!

I never ever do this but my WIFE just wrote a post that shook me to the core and I had to share it - When I was really ready for God to open and close doors in my life, I had to learn to keep my hands off the door knobs and listen to the Small still voice. Recognize the "burning bush" of signs that let you know, this *fill in the blank* isn't for me and I need to let go. Unfortunately we wait for a bulletin of a sign to tell us what we already know. I know what that's like, and I've been there too many times with friendships, relationships, jobs, etc. When I started to act out of character and accept/do things that I knew were not ME, in a negative way, I had to go. If I felt exhausted from the energy expended to deal with the BULLSHIT I accepted, I knew I had to go. When I began to predict the negative course of events that were to come because my gut instinct already knew, I had to go. It's a whisper of a voice when God speaks, but listening to that voice brings you a whole lot more peace in the end. I remember getting to the point where I say to God IF ITS NOT WHAT YOU WANT FOR ME, TAKE IT AWAY. I don't care if I cry, if I'm hurt, I can deal with that, but I'm not willing to do anything you don't want me to do. I give up on trying to make it work or figure it out, LET YOUR WILL BE DONE. I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I went through enough heart ache and pain that I realized what I wanted for me was not matching up with God, which explains the turmoil I went to keep whatever I had. My advice: take your hand off the door knob before it's too late. God may be talking to you, steady giving you signs, but YOU refuse to let go. I'm here to tell you, that's a dead end street you are fighting to keep driving down. A puzzle piece that just doesn't fit into the space you have left, sure some of the sides fit, but it just doesn't fit. God has a piece waiting on you where all the corners fit perfectly. He's just waiting on you to stop trying to make YOUR piece fit and allow God to provide you with the piece that actually fits in the space you have left in your puzzle. I praise God for the heartaches and pains, because I understand know why I had
