This year's Soul Train Awards gave us an endless pool of beauty and style inspiration. We were flipping out over the major hair looks that we saw on the red carpet and especially floored when Brandy took the stage for her performance. Check out the ladies (and gents) demonstrating their exotic shine on the carpet with our favorite hair looks.
A very low maintenance, no fuss style, these ladies are putting their faces on display front and center, with this slicked back hair style. The loose and airy tresses don't seem weighted down by too much product, which is an updated twist on this classic 'do. We wouldn't be surprised if they were using Argan oil from Morocco to achieve such an effortless look.
We still aren't over doing a crazy color and a wig is the safest and most fun way to do this without causing damage to your natural hair. While pink and blue might seem like an outrageous choice, remember, it's only temporary! Be you! Be beautiful!
Sometimes the best way to draw attention to your head is with an headpiece. Jill Scott rocked a sweet crown of baby's breath in her natural hair, exhibiting her inner exotic shine. India Arie rocked a turban and our hostess with the mostess, Erykah Badu was seen in her signature hat. We can't think of a better way to accessorize and already amazing look.
We love a natural curl any day of the week and these stars (shoutout to Lloyd) did everything right.
So which style will you be adopting? We're partial to curls but hey, that's just because it's the easiest. Let us know which look is your fave!
