Beyoncé and Jay Z aren't the only Carters dominating on stage this weekend. While Jay made an appearance at the Bad Boy Reunion show in Brooklyn and Bey brought her world tour to Edmonton, Canada, Blue Ivy Carter was getting her kindergarten class in formation at her school dance recital.
Thanks to a parent in the audience who clearly had his or her priorities in order, there's video of the performance, and it proves three things:
1. Blue clearly choreographed the entire Formation Tour herself.
2. She's always on beat, just like her mama.
3. She slays (as if there was any doubt).
Watch the magic for yourself:
Social media, of course, is going crazy for this, but apparently die-hard BeyHive members have been waiting on this for years. See the tweets dating back as far as 2012 — yes, 2012 — in anticipation of this moment:
What if Lemonade is simply a video about Blue Ivy's school recital and says nothing about her album?— Respeck Muh Name (@iDavey) April 23, 2016
At my sister's dance recital and it cost twelve dollars... Blue-Ivy better be here crumping— Marc Lauren (@marclauren) June 8, 2014
If you think of Beyonce and Jayz as just Blue Ivy's parents embarrassing her at a school recital, it's kind of adorable. #grammys— Kim Schwartz (@Kim_Schwartz) January 27, 2014
Prediction/Hope: Blue Ivy Carter starts ballet classes. Jay-Z records a song for her recital. Twenty Tutu's is the song of the year.— Սիլվիա (@sylvyyyyy) October 23, 2012
The Carter legacy is clearly safe with Blue.
