Kanye West and Fetty Wap celebrated their birthdays this week in ways befitting their eclectic styles. Both rappers blew out candles — 25 for Fetty, 39 for Yeezy — on characteristically over-the-top birthday cakes.
Fetty's cake is catching the most heat online, with some wondering whether or not the giant fondant cigar — lit, of course — on the face of the cake is appropriate given a child was clearly at his party:
Kanye's, however, was much more conventional, with "Pablo" spelled out in intricate orange letters and topped with sparklers.
Yeezy celebrated his birthday on the East Coast, was sent an overwhelming amount of love in his birthday messages from his wife and many of the other Kardashian's through social media (of course).
"Happy birthday to my best friend!" Kim Kardashian wrote. "I usually would be scared for us to get older, but as each year passes, I'm just happy we have more time on this Earth together! 'I love you so much and hope this year brings you much happiness," she added.
Kris Jenner's message was also particularly loving: "Happy birthday to my son, North and Saint’s daddy and Kim’s soul mate, #KanyeWest. To say you are special is an understatement… you are one of a kind!!!!" she gushed.
Fetty Wap celebrated his 25th birthday with family and friends in go-karts at Pole Position Raceway in Jersey City, New Jersey, this week. His party of course also entailed some racing with a group of 11 friends that included fellow rapper and close friend Monty.
The Grammy-nominated rapper was recently in the news when the Paterson, New Jersey, school district came under fire for allowing him to film a drug-themed music video at East Side High School.
