We know Kelis's milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and now her burgers do, too.
The singer-turned-chef has teamed up with the high end French-American restaurant Le Bun to open a pop-up restaurant in London that will serve burgers and South American arepas.
The 36-year-old singer was trained to be a chef at the famous Le Cordon Bleu, and now will open the pop-up at Liecester House on specific dates in July. She will then go on to appear at a number of food festivals across the U.K.
The singer is known to be a huge foodie, with her Instagram page covered in home made dishes. She has also released a book called My Life on a Plate and has her own "Bounty & Full" sauces brand.
Of the upcoming pop-up, Kelis said, "I've been looking forward to bringing my cooking to London for years." Adding, "This July I'm over for lots of festivals and it's the perfect time to finally make this pop-up restaurant dream a reality."
Le Bun founders Andy Taylor and Tim Talbot are just as excited about the partnership. "I've been into Kelis's music for years," Taylor said. "It's wicked that we see eye to eye on ingredients and I'm really excited to chef with her." He continued, "I love what she cooks and it's going to be great to collaborate on a totally unique pop-up."
No word on whether or not any of the singer's famous milkshakes will be on the menu.
