Someone is getting her groove back!
R&B singer Syleena Johnson recently shared with her Instagram followers her new svelte figure. Apparently since last fall, Johnson has made her health a major priority and by January of this year she lost a whopping 50 pounds.
Her secret?
Nothing fancy, trendy or anything that required surgery. Just good old-fashioned exercise and healthy eating, which included Bikram yoga and strength training. And for extra encouragement, Johnson’s sisters joined in too. The three have lost a whopping 125 pounds collectively!
According to Soul Bounce, Johnson plans to share her story in an upcoming book, The Weight Is Over: My Journey to Loving My Body From the Outside In. Co-written with Amera McCoy, her book, which will be released later this year, will chronicle Johnson’s own weight-loss journey and how she finally “took back her life after years of yo-yo dieting with proper nutrition and exercise.”
