After months of waiting, Ciara and Russell Wilson finally tied the knot in front of family and friends at the Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. Though the wedding was admirably kept a secret before it happened, now that it's over, the details are pouring out.
A source close to the couple told E! Online that the singer was treated like a queen by her bridesmaids, who stayed by her side until the ceremony began in the evening. It was reportedly a very traditional, yet "heartfelt" ceremony led by a pastor who shared some "enlightening" words before the couple exchanged some personal messages of their own with one another.
The insider added that Wilson could barely keep it together, looking like a "big, teary-eyed teddy bear" when he saw Ciara, who was wearing a custom Roberto Cavalli dress, walk down the aisle. She was also reportedly holding back tears and "both of them were extremely nervous," according to the source.
Ciara's eight bridesmaids, including celebrity pals Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony and makeup artist Yolonda Frederick, wore elegant black Michael Costello gowns each subtly different from each other.
Costello told E! News, "Each dress is very unique, it's this really beautiful black stretch satin so it clings to the body really well." As for Ciara's son, Future, he "looked so cute and behaved very well."
The ceremony ended when the two said, "I do," and reportedly shared a very romantic, "passionate" kiss. "Everyone got so excited. [There] was not a dry eye in the room."
Because the two got married in England, they will still have to legally tie the knot in the United States. E! reports that they have already applied for their marriage license in Washington and will make it official with a quick civil ceremony.
They are now reportedly on their way to their honeymoon to celebrate their union — and all that comes with it — after maintaining their celibacy throughout their courtship.
Congratulations again to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson!
