Leslie Jones is a rising star by any standard, except one: the fashion industry's. The comedienne and actress famously revealed on Twitter that no luxury fashion label would loan her clothes for her big moment because she's not a sample size, and on Sunday night she finally had her chance to show them what they passed on.
Jones arrived at the premiere of her new film Ghostbusters looking as gorgeous as we've ever seen her in a fire engine red gown by Christian Siriano. The Project Runway alum jumped at the chance to work with Miss Jones after she vented on Twitter, “It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for [my] movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything.”
Siriano didn't skip a beat when he tweeted at Jones: “It shouldn’t be exceptional to work with brilliant people just because they’re not sample size. Congrats aren’t in order, a change is."
Well, these two may have gotten together as a result of disappointing circumstances, but it's clear to see everything worked out in the end. “I feel amazing,” she gushed to Us Weekly. “Christian hooked me up! Christian Siriano hooked me up.”
Indeed, he did. Hopefully this isn't the last time these two collaborate on a look!
