Pokémon Go has already ruined a relationship, so it's only fair that the virtual gaming sensation helps bring some people together as well. The app that has become famous for getting millennials to go and explore the outside world has launched a new spinoff app called Pokematch, with the goal of helping new Pokémon trainers find love.
Pokematch has users swiping just like Tinder, Bumble, and other popular dating apps, but instead of a boring match, the app has compatible players meet up to try and catch some Pokémon together. How romantic.
“The goal is that people to create meaningful dates, not just hook-ups,” creator Rene Roosen said in a press release. “We think that a Pokemon Go date is the perfect opportunity for that.”
Many have already taken to Twitted to share their thoughts on the latest dating trend:
Wonderful... now we'll start hearing terms like PokeDate, PokeMatch, PokeProfile, PokeIt'scomplicated... Ugh 😏😖😩 https://t.co/q0fLior5xE

Pokematch and pokedates...now these are the kind of dating sites I've been waiting for.

so #PokemonGO has already taken the world over and now #Pokedates is a real thing. U could potentially have a #PokeMatch. What is going on?

At the moment, Pokematch is only available for Android users, but the pending iOS option already has a waitlist. It appears that many vitrual trainers are looking for more than rare Pokémon.
