As summer comes to a close, it’s hard to make the seasonal transition, but one way that you can ensure you’re holding on to those glorious summer days is to look like you’ve never left the beach. We asked hair guru Harry Josh, who’s worked with the likes of Chrissy Teigen and Jasmine Tookes, for his advice on making beach waves work for any texture. He tells us, "The best part about perfect beach hair is that it's completely imperfect."

The key is to embrace a wave that's built around your texture. Those with hair on the straight side will want to add texture — try a surf spray like Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray. By applying to wet or dry hair, it will help create a rope-y texture mimicking the just-out-of-the-ocean, tousled hair without drying it out. For wavy, curly or coarser-haired girls, embrace the texture you already have by letting it air-dry. Apply a styling product to wet hair that will prevent frizz (like John Frieda Frizz Ease Air Dry Waves Styling Foam). It will keep your style touchable but still define your natural waves and curls — no heat tools needed.” Take it from Harry Josh and these amazing ladies.
