Canadian singer the Weeknd is the latest celebrity to add fashion designer to his resume. He recently signed on to be Puma’s newest creative director and ambassador.
He recently Tweeted that he will star in the athletic line's new “Run the Streets” campaign and also announced a new collaboration with the company PumaXO.
This new partnership will also include a collaborative collection of sneakers and apparel designed by the Weeknd that "is a fusion of PUMA’s sport-inspired designs and the Weeknd’s street-motivated aesthetics as seen in his label, XO," said Puma in a press release.
So why the Weeknd? Simple: Puma believes that the "Starboy" singer's" laid back, streetwise style and swagger makes him the perfect one to represent their brand. And we concur.
Only thing: The collection won't be released until 2017. But if it's anything like Rihanna's most recent Fenty Puma collection, it will totally be worth the wait.
