Ciara Describes Life After Future in New Interview

The R&B singer covers #legend magazine.

Ciara finally has it all, and so much of it.

The R&B singer hit a low point after her split from Future a couple of years ago — ending your relationship weeks before your wedding day will do that to you — but she's clearly on top of the world now with her new husband, Russell Wilson.

This month, CiCi graces the cover of #legend magazine (slaying, as usual) and opens up about her wedding in England, which she adorably describes as "everything I could have hoped for."

“I definitely can say it was two of the most perfect days in my life," she says, and you can literally feel her smile through the words. "The day before and the day of the actual wedding was a special time. It was honestly so beautiful and I really felt like I was in a fairy tale. It was everything I hoped for. Everything I could have hoped for, dreamed of, happened on that day. It was memorable. We spent two days with all the people that we love, your family and your close friends. I’m definitely still floating, it’s only three months ago and it’s crazy how time goes by.”

She also talks about how becoming a mother to son Future Jr. (who's dad is Future) changed her perspective: “It makes you really understand the definition of being responsible. Because now it’s like, every decision I make affects not only my life, but it affects his life," she says. "And having my child has really propelled me to focus even more on not only what I want personally, and then also as a businesswoman. It really helps you lock things down.”

If anybody deserves this level of delirious happiness and personal contentment, it's CiCi. We couldn't be more happy for her.
