If you haven’t heard, prima ballerina Misty Copeland is photographer Gregg Delman’s muse in an all-photo book where she acted as her own glam squad for the 95 intimate portraits of her in her element.
“For the majority of our shoots, there was no glam squad or walls of wardrobe,” Copeland intros in the book. “I did my own hair and makeup, wore my own clothes, and just like that, we’d get to work.”
To be fair, Delman began working with Misty long before she became the first female African-American principal dancer in American Ballet Theatre’s 75-year history, making her a household name. But nonetheless, it's impressive considering the stunning imagery showcased in the book. You can find the book on Amazon and at any major book retailer, but get a peek with six of the photos below. Get ready to be to be Misty-fied!
