From starring in the Ghostbusters reboot to conquering rabid Internet bullying to scoring a hosting gig with NBC based off her Twitter feed, Leslie Jones has had a very big year online.
Now, it seems her luck is expanding to her love life. The TV and film star scored a date with the man People magazine called the Sexiest Teacher Alive, and it all started on Twitter.
After Jones and Lin-Manuel Miranda did a classroom-set sketch on a recent episode of Saturday Night Live, the New Jersey educator (named Nicholas Ferroni) took to Twitter to reach out to the actress. He's quite the looker as anyone with eyes can see:
#Repost @blindfoldmagazine with @repostapp ・・・ This week is an exciting one for us! Yesterday, @nicholasferroni attended @unitednations #SocialGoodSummit to meet awesome #changemakers like us. This weekend he joins the Blindfold team once again to attend @glblctzn Festival & get some sick footage there. We are also having a re-launch party on Friday in #NYC. Stay tuned for more details. #globalcitizenfestival #newyorkcity Photo by the beautiful @shelbysphoto
Jones stumbled across Ferroni's comment (and, let's be honest, his profile pic), and a very public online flirtation began:
Yes I am, sadly. https://t.co/xMHtOYF7jf— Nicholas A. Ferroni (@NicholasFerroni) October 16, 2016
Even Lin-Manuel couldn't wait for his answer.
Finally, he responded:
I don't have a type and don't forget I have 150 kids😉 https://t.co/86iuvGAcX1— Nicholas A. Ferroni (@NicholasFerroni) October 16, 2016
That would require way too many permission slips. https://t.co/aUIqbf2z76— Nicholas A. Ferroni (@NicholasFerroni) October 16, 2016
You're right and I will. https://t.co/T9CJNEfSH7— Nicholas A. Ferroni (@NicholasFerroni) October 16, 2016
Get it, Leslie! Twitter flirting is just the latest life lesson we've learned from Miss Jones.
