Victoria's Secret Model Jasmine Tookes Slams Skin Bleaching Rumors

This Angel won't be shamed.

Another day, another skin bleaching rumor. Jasmine Tookes is the latest celeb in question, but she is shutting down any accusations of skin lightening. It all started when the Victoria Secret Angel posted a clip on Friday showing off the $3 million Fantasy Bra she’ll wear at the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Followers quickly pounced, calling the 25-year-old out for her skin looking much fairer than usual. They speculated on her appearance, asking things like “How do you look so white?” and “Did you bleach your skin?” One fan called her Blackness into question, saying, “Exactly what I was thinking I think she bleached herself she used to look black.”

The VS model was not here for any of the slander and quickly hit the comments section to shut down the haters:

“Are you kidding me!?!?!? Who in the world does that?”

“First of all, lighting is everything and not to mention I’m way darker in the summer and much lighter towards the winter my skin tone changes all the time just like everyone else.”

She then took her thoughts on body shaming to Twitter:

“Just CRAZY!!! I love my skin! It's my favorite thing about myself.”

As a fact check to let Jas know "who does this," Azealia Banks caused quite a stir when she owned up to skin bleaching earlier this year. And with body alterations becoming the norm amongst celebs and non-celebs alike, it wouldn't be the craziest thing to happen, but we really support that Jasmine is owning her natural beauty and proud.

Catch Jasmine strutting her stuff on the Victoria's Secret catwalk when the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show airs on December 5, at 10P/9C on CBS.
