Keke Palmer’s “hood-rich” street style, as her stylist Michael Benyamin aka Maikeeb likes to call it, made yet another appearance this weekend. Despite her drama with Trey Songz, the actress managed to flawlessly step onto the scene in this all-black ‘fit featuring bewitching scallop and corset details.
The ensemble is one from Are You Am I, a brand created by Insta-famous fashion blogger Rumi Neely. While the Meili Skirt is currently sold out on Areyouami.com, you can still cop the Tiiu top for $119, available in black, white, nude or red.
“She loves to accessorize. She loves to chunk up as many rings, obviously within reason,” Maikeeb told InStyle of Keeks’s style. “Just more streetwear, you know? We love the term 'hood-rich.' She loves the ‘90s, early 2000s — that fashion era.”
Maikeeb and the Scream Queens star are onto something because the new high-fashion streetwear aesthetic she’s adopted keeps scooping up headlines. From pasties to booty-baring shorts and everything outrageous in between, we’re all intrigued to see what’s next to pop out of Keke’s closet.
