Earlier this week, Rachel Lindsay hit Jimmy Kimmel Live to announce her historic new gig as the first Black woman chosen to be the next Bachelorette. She’s been a fan favorite on this 21st season of The Bachelor, competing for current contestant Nick Viall’s heart. While it’s safe to say Rachel isn’t getting that final rose, she’ll still be making her mark on the epic franchise.

Rachel is a 31-year-old attorney from Dallas. When asked who she would be for just one day, she responded, “Michelle Obama. She’s everything!”
“I’m happy to represent myself as a Black woman in front of America and I’m happy for America to rally behind me and see what it’s like for me to be on this journey to find love,” she told People.
Rachel indulges in a large glass of wine — or two, or three — while watching The Bachelor, just like the rest of us.
When she's not playing flag football, Rachel is cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
When it comes to finding her perfect match she told Jimmy Kimmel, “I’m looking for someone who’s ready for what I’m ready for. At this point in my life, 31, I’m ready to find a husband, someone who’s ready to start a family.”
She continued, “I’m ready to find love, ready to find a husband. So if you know anybody out there who needs to apply, sign up and get started.”
