Making it in fashion is not easy, but Ade Samuel is sprinkling some Black Girl Magic all over Hollywood. The 28-year-old just landed herself on The Hollywood Reporter's coveted list of Hollywood's 25 most powerful stylists as a rising star. A star that is rising indeed. Ade's clients include our favorite couple of the moment, Big Sean and Jhené Aiko (Saumels dresses both of them), the very darling Yara Shahidi and of course is responsible for Kelly Rowland's recent fashion evolution.
Ade says, "As a woman of Nigerian decent, textures, patterns and fabrics are a huge part of my culture. Through watching my granny and mother, I developed a keen sense of what works for the body."
The Hollywood Reporter celebrated their stylist issue with a dinner last night and Ade third-wheeled to Big Sean and Jhené Aiko wearing Houghton. Her clients were in Salvatore Ferragamo and Tibi, respectively.
As if she wasn't busy enough, Samuels has a side hustle designing shoes. Check out the list of other impressive stylists making waves in Hollywood. Notable names include Zendaya's stylist Law Roach and Viola Davis's mainstay Elizabeth Stewart.
