Surprisingly, American Apparel is still kicking, but not for much longer! Cyber shoppers, this is your last week to have your favorite items from everyone's favorite basic one-stop shop shipped to you. And forget about ridiculously overpriced leggings and bodysuits, because its online store is closing and everything is 50 percent off.
After years of controversial business decisions, CEOs, and advertising, American Apparel filed for bankruptcy in October 2015. The beloved go-to for all of your basic and theme-party needs has been on the outs for a while, nonetheless its awaited final farewell is only a few days away.
Canadian company Gildan acquired American Apparel in January, but decided against saving the retailer's 110 remaining locations.
While they have yet to announce when their brick-and-mortar stores will shut down, it's only a matter so of time. Save yourself the headache of rummaging through racks of leftover goods, and head over to American Apparel's website to indulge in its "timeless basics" at discounted prices.
