Bey and Jay Have Reportedly Spent $1 Milli Turning House Into Maternity Ward

Only the best for the Carter twins.

Published June 12, 2017

As Beyoncé Knowles Carter's due date nears, she and her family are preparing for the birth of the world's most important twins since Caine and Abel. Because Beyoncé is delightfully extra, she will not be delivering the fourth and fifth members of the Carter family in a hospital. Nay, though most celebrities book luxury suites at Cedars-Sinai months in advance and call it a day, Beyoncé will, of course, one up them. She will apparently give birth in the comfort of her own home.

Blue Ivy, clearly already practicing her extra-ness, as evidenced in the BET Breaks video above, could teach her twin siblings a crash course in stealing the show no matter what the occasion. But then again, as Beyoncé's twins, those two might go on to teach Blue a little something about doing the most. Judging by the way they will be brought into the world, we're willing to bet on it.

Bey and Jay have reportedly poured over $1 million into turning a section of their recently acquired LA compound into a maternity ward. The Daily Mail reports that medical equipment, including incubators and "an entire professional neonatal wing," has been brought into the Carter's home. Should complications arise during birth, Cedars-Sinai is a short five-minute drive away from the Carter's LA estate.

As for the reasoning behind the home birth, the website cites the drama surrounding Blue's birth at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, in which the Carters received negative press. Other hospital patients reportedly complained about the pomp and circumstance surrounding Blue's delivery, which ultimately made their hospitals visits more complicated and not the positive experiences they had hoped.

Only the best for the world's richest celeb couple, right?
