We already know Robyn Rihanna Fenty is a veritable fashion chameleon. You'd be hard-pressed to find a photo of her looking badly. Her propensity to slay an outfit is just one of the many reasons why we love her. During a recent jaunt to Paris, she showed us yet again why she is fashion's most fawned over celebrity. While presenting the prestigious LVMH Prize yesterday, she brought a cowgirl chic look that we can't really imagine anyone else being able to pull off.
We know Rih to be a Dior gyal. She's sat front row at the house's shows for as long as we can remember and has even collaborated on eyewear with them (they'll run you a stack). Her affinity for the brand was made clear once again with the all-Dior-everything 'fit. Was it edgy to wear a full-on Dior outfit to a Louis Vuttion-affiliated event, you ask? Nah. LVMH, LV's parent company that owns a large roster of high fashion brands, recently made moves to acquire Christian Dior for a cool $13 billi. Technically, her look is all in the family.
Now, for the outfit itself. RiRi wore a plunging white eyelet gown from Dior's most recent presentation, which was centered around the romanticization of the Wild Wild West. Frequently, when stars wear something straight off the runway, it can look all wrong (or awkward at the very least). We know models to be sample-size and, for the most part, not so curvy. When these garments are then displayed on non-model bods, sometimes they don't translate well. Such is not the case for Rihanna. As evidenced below, she literally wears the outfit better than the model. Plunging neckline and all, she is not here for any of those horrendous body shaming comments and she's definitely back in the fashion arena.
Like look at her little pose above. We can't take her cuteness. It's hard to isolate if it was the slits, her jewelry, her tattoo or if the combo added the perfect amount of toughness to balance this very ladylike outfit, but that's part of the mystery and allure that makes her Rih. And that's exactly why she'll be our fashion icon for as long as she graces this green earth!
