Who knew that the BET Awards had the power to (possibly) mend relationships? Last night, two of our favorite, and notably recently single, ladies looked absolutely stunning, and their exes took notice!
Both Mary J. Blige and La La Anthony served major looks last night. Apparently the celebrity version of posting a thirst trap is showing up to an awards show looking fiery hot and in something sheer and sequined.
And although we don't need men to validate our existence, a decent barometer for your hotness is the efficacy with which men get trapped in their thirst based on your slayage, especially ones you used to be married to. For Mary J. and La La, their looks last night did just that.
Mary J. may have once sang "No More Drama," but her ex sure didn't remember this message last night. After she performed, looking sexy as ever at age 46 in a chain-mail getup, her ex, Kendu Isaacs, posted the above statement. Because nothing says "I'm over you" like posting a stock image of your ex juxtaposed by an over-emotional paragraph all but begging her to come back, right? At the time of press, Isaacs's account was set private, ostensibly due to backlash from this post, which LOL, karma.
Now this was not La La's first time looking hawt as hell post breakup on a carpet. If you recall, she showed up to this year's Met Gala in a similarly naked-ish dress, sans wedding ring and solo on the carpet, a statement if there ever was one. She followed suit with her BET Awards look. Coincidentally, yesterday was also her birthday, which gave her ex, Carmelo Anthony, a great excuse to shout her out on the 'Gram in a thinly veiled attempt to get her back.
Looks like Kendu and Carmelo could use an Aquafina. Yes, Mary J. and La La's exes might've taken to to 'Gram last night... but do you think they both got that "hey big head" text, too?
