The times they are a-changin'. Sean Spicer is out as press secretary, Girls Trip had a surprise historic opening weekend and Wale is cutting his locs off. Yes, you read that right — the hairstyle that Wale has rocked as long as we've known him is no longer!
Wale took to Instagram to share the news of his aesthetic departure. "Man idk what I'm doin but I know I need to make changes .. find my happiness , could this be phase one?" he wrote. Basically, Wale is in the midst of an existential crisis and wonders if changing his hair will change his life. We, too, consider a drastic hair change when we're going through it, so this is incredibly relatable. Wale noted that Issa Rae suggested he opt for a change.
This is probably the biggest hair news in hip-hop since The Weeknd rid himself of his anthropomorphic pineapple. We can't wait to see what his new hair will look like!
BETX on the Road: DMV
