This week on BET.com’s Plates & Poles, Yung Joc hits up Atlanta’s Onyx to get a taste for what’s on the menu. The premier gentleman’s club is infamous for their signature 4/20 Burger (hemp seeds and a secret sauce make this dish one-of-a-kind) and wings.
Joc joins head chef Baha Jackson in the kitchen, where he squashes any negative stigmas around strip club grub, because surprisingly Onyx uses all fresh ingredients and cooks everything from scratch. “I think my food is just as good as any four-star restaurant,” he swears. Chef Baha even uses some of his “Doughboy Magic” to whip up a special shrimp quesadilla in Joc’s honor. And here’s a fun fact: Chef Baha played the young Doughboy in the film classic Boyz n the Hood.
After he’s done in the kitchen, Joc pulls up a seat at the table with his friend and TV personality Shekinah Joe as they get into some interesting strip club myths over the Onyx’s yummy eats.
