Madonna, the epitome of '80s maximalism, architected a career off doing the most. So when it comes to her born day, the self-proclaimed Material Girl is obviously going to do it big. For her big 5-9 this past week, she followed suit. The celebration included but was not limited to: A birthday destination trip to Italy! The presence of all six (!) of her children! And matching Dolce & Gabbana fits for all!
The famous fam got into the birthday spirit with a gypsy-themed party in Lecce, Italy. It only makes sense, then, that Italy's foremost purveyor of luxury goods, Dolce & Gabbana, outfitted the fam in a hydrangea-print motif. Such luxury garments don't come cheap, though. Her youngest children's dresses cost a cool $1,275, while the adult version as seen on her eldest daughter rings in at $1,995. Only the best for decendents of the Material Girl! Madge's children, ranging in ages from 4 to 20, are as follows: Lourdes, 20; Rocco, 17; David, 11; Mercy James, 11; and twins Estere and Stella; 4. The blended family posed for an adorable photo together to mark the occasion, as seen below. Madonna's adopted children, David, Mercy James, Estere, and Stella, were all born in Malawai. Her youngest children, the twins, were adopted this past February.
This past June, the Queen of Pop traveled to Malawai with her four children that hail from the nation to open the country's first-ever children's hospital, which she funded. We love her continued engagement with her children's birthplace and efforts to improve health care for all children in Malawi.
Happy birthday, Madge!
