Mariah Carey gave the people what they wanted — a tour of her fairytale closet, well closets, and it was nothing short of magic! Let’s just start off by mentioning that Carey loves Marilyn Monroe and has certain valuables in her closet and home that belonged to the sexy icon, thus the Monroe era is the inspo behind the setting.
Carey, who presents herself in the utmost glamorous manner, let us know right off the bat that she’s “not as casual as most people,” and once our eyes got our first glance, we instantaneously knew why!
Closet number one consisted of a straight shoegasm! Mariah admitted her obsession with shoes as she showed off shelves filled from top to bottom with heels fit for a true diva. Designers included Christian Louboutin, Giuseppe Zannotti and Manolo Blahnik. The Queen also got real and showed the slides that she lived in while pregnant — as we always say, gotta love a girl that can do both — especially when it’s the always fancy Mariah.
Within the same closet, Mariah also showed off her collection of sunglasses and how she chooses a good frame: its all in the cheeks. We also got a glimpse of specific sparkly sequined dresses that Carey insists need their own display and obviously set the ambiance for the space. The singer then shows off a Brahmin bag that Floyd Mayweather bought her. We mean, when you throwin’ 'bows and get the nickname Floyd “Money” Mayweather, we guess you can shower the ladies!
OK, on to closet No. 2…
And it's dedicated solely to lingerie. Speaking of which, if Mariah had her way, she said she would “just wear lingerie and walk around the house.” Not surprising considering the promo to her show on E!, Mariah’s World, was shot in lingerie. Some of the star’s favorite lingerie brands and pieces included “numbers” from La Perla and Agent Provocateur. Guess it’s safe to say she does NOT disappoint the boys!
Seriously, this is the best thing since her 1,000-plus wardrobe changes on MTV Cribs. Perhaps we can get an invite for tea and cookies and a full tour of the queendom?
