Draya Michele may be best known for her run on Basketball Wives, but the model, actress and swimwear designer has a lot more on her plate these days. In the B*Real video below, she talks about her business, Mint Swim, and more.
She reveals that she moved across country with one plan: To get to Los Angeles and infuse the local sunny culture into her very own swimwear line. “I decided that I wanted to be my own boss. I wanted to make my own rules, my own hours, my own money, and that was just the path that I chose to take,” she explains.
Draya also lets viewers in on the biggest mistakes she made while getting started, which include not handling the business end of things before diving into designing and sales and failing to manage her money well.
When it comes to her own look, Draya cites Victoria Beckham and Ciara as her style idols. “If I could trade closets with anyone, it would be Ciara.”
