“How do they do it?” Ever find yourself wondering this about some of the leading ladies you look up to? During BET Networks’ Leading Women Defined Summit in Miami, CentricTV.com’s Kela Walker got the chance to ask that very same question to some pretty badass women taking success into their own hands. Inside the CoverGirl Suite, she chatted up a range of talented professionals while they played with some bomb beauty products about what wearing your crown really means.
“Black women rule because we get it. I mean, it’s a sisterhood unlike any other,” preached beauty executive Charlene Dance.
Celebrity chef Amaris Jones dropped some food for thought: “I encourage others to wear their crown by not taking anything personal. What someone else thinks about you has nothing to do with you.”
