Last night, Mel B. shocked the internet with a post meant to show off her stellar figure at 42 years old next to her “Spice Shrine.” We see you, girl!
But her longtime fans looked past her abs and zeroed in on something else — her drastically lighter complexion. Receipts below:
Comments poured in from concerned commenters and trolls alike, asking, "what’s up" with the sudden change. Here's an assortment of what the internet had to say:
"You guys it’s called winter and no sun so no tanning. Stop."
"Bleached up your skin, and disrespected the very melanin thats making you look so young. Sad foolishness."
"Wtf - have you really bleached your skin? Why would you do that when you have mixed children?"
"Why did you bleach your skin?????????"
The British-born beauty, who is both of Caribbean (Saint Kitts and Nevis to be exact) and English decent, has photographed herself many times sporting a much darker complexion, like the posts below:
According to the Daily Mail, she was quick to hit back by penning "Yes, and I do need a tan" to inquisitive followers. Wait, did she just admit to bleaching or nah?
We're not sure exactly what's going on, but we do feel for Mel considering she has to come up with $200,000 to pay her ex's legal fees by February 8 — in addition to splitting the profits from their businesses together and $40K per month in alimony. It's no wonder she decided to remove Stephen Belafonte's name from her body last month.
What do you think about Mel B's new appearance? Does she just need a vacation or is something more serious going on? Hit us up!
