You already know if you’re trying to party with the Queen Bey, you have to sign a NDA. Welp, except for Tiffany Haddish.
We are still looking for our edges post-Beychella round two this weekend. It’s pretty unbelievable that Beyoncé has the stamina to make all those costume-changes, remember all that choreography and barely break a sweat. How sway?!
But now, thanks to her longtime makeup artist Sir John, we also have the secret for Beyoncé-like skin: cigarette rolling papers. No, that’s not a typo.
In a recent interview with Vogue, Sir John revealed that the last step before Yoncé hits the stage is a quick dab via rolling papers. According to StyleCaster, you can find a pack of 160 leaves for under $6 on Amazon. Who knew?!
The trick, which Sir John learned from years of working with celebrity clients, easily removes excess oil, allowing him to put on powder without clogging Bey’s pores.
“If you apply [the powder] before blotting,” he explains, “you’ll just push the oil right into your pores,” he explains.
After all, she did sing, “Woo! I might roll up,” on her Top Off verse—maybe they do double duty? Tell us what you think in the comments section.
