See The Newest Prison Bae Make His Fashion Week Debut At Helmut Lang
The power of the internet is such that a viral mug shot can land you a modeling gig. Just last season, we saw a Cinderella story of this nature, when the Hot Felon, a.k.a., Jeremy Meeks, made his fashion week debut this past February after being released from prison in May of last year. Well, it looks like he's not the only handcuffed hottie in the fashion sphere. Yesterday, Prison Bae, a.k.a., Mekhi Alante Lucky, made his fashion week debut.
Walking in Shayne Oliver's (formerly of Hood By Air) reinterpretation of a Helmut Lang revival last night, Lucky's unique features satisfied the prerequisites for Insta-bait. No one does avant garde better than Oliver, and he proved this once again last evening. News only hit the interwebs just last week that Lucky had signed an agency; it would appear he's wasting no time!
Lucky has heterochromia, a condition that causes irises to be two different colors. Luckily for Lucky, his slightly mutated DNA left him with a striking look that made him even hotter! Must be nice. Paired with a jawline so sharp it could cut glass, Lucky was truly destined for the runway all along.
In line with Oliver's past gender-bending work, his Helmut Lang capsule continues his affinity for androgyny. As you can see above, Lucky's look included a skirt and high boots. He still looks badass, though! And, wethinks, that's part of what Oliver wants to come across. Lucky also carried a lucite briefcase containing absolutely nothing down the runway, because fashion.
So who will be the breakout hottie felon of next fashion month? Only time can tell — but the spots wide open!
