Everyone Is Losing It Over Nicki Minaj As Sade On This Magazine Cover

Sade, is that you???

Nicki Minaj is a fashion chameleon and risk-taker, but T Magazine managed to show a side of the rapper we had yet to see: a very close resemblance to Sade Adu. For its annual The Greats issue, which in years past has featured the likes of Michelle Obama and Rihanna, The New York Times' Magazine served us a vibe and a half.

Reflecting on her incredible career, she blessed us by dishing on some deets regarding her impending album, which she is already calling "super, super iconic."

“...Sonically, I know what the album’s about to sound like. I know what this album is gonna mean to my fans. This album is everything in my life coming full circle and me being truly, genuinely happy. It feels almost like a celebration," Nic said. "The last album, ‘The Pink Print,’ was almost like my diary, closing the chapter on certain things and not knowing if I was happy or sad about beginning new chapters. I was really writing about feeling unsure. Now, I can tell you guys what happened for the last two years of my life. I know who I am. I am getting Nicki Minaj figured out with this album and I’m loving her.”

No matter if Nic's in boots and visors, bright wigs or toned down, as she is here, she bodies the 'fit regardless. To pay tribute to Sade, Nic wore thick, gold hoops that were associated with the iconic artist and a host of designer threads from top-tier houses such as Alaia and Louis Vuitton

We'll be waiting hard on Nicki's next album, but in the meantime, enjoy this serve of '80s minimalism.
