We’ve already acknowledged that Solange Knowles is WAY more than Beyonće’s sister but rather a style icon and the definition of Black girl magic. BET honored the eccentric singer in 2017 at the Black Girls Rock Awards for acknowledging the essence of Black beauty with her A Seat At The Table album.

And now, Solange is being honored at the 70th annual Parsons Benefits Awards, a ceremony in which just last year our girl Rihanna was honored for her fashion slayage. Just to reference how major this is, the singer will be honored this year alongside the president and CEO of Gucci and the founder and CEO of Farfetch. The honorees are recognized on the basis of contributions to the fashion, technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainability industries.

Parsons says on Solo: “We are thrilled to be honoring Solange for her notable contributions to the music and fashion industries.”

The Parsons Benefit will take place on May 21 in NYC, where notable members of the industry will be present to see Solange accept her award. Honestly, we can’t think of anyone more deserving than the woman who let the world know how important it is not to f*ck with our hair! Bravo, Solange.
