Deep in love or drunk in love?

If you like it, then you should’ve put a ring ON it? Wayment, revision: If you like it, then you should’ve put a ring IN it? Although the bling is still required, there’s a new way of showing a relationship status of “married” and it seems painful AF.

Apparently, ladies have traded trying to decide which diamond shape they like best with whether or not they’ll be rocking an actual band. What’s the new trend? Dermal piercings on that finger. According to Nylon, Instagram has made these piercings a popular alternative to the 5-kt diamond ring some ladies may have once dreamed of. But the process for these dermal piercings don’t seem as dreamy as those rings. Piercers have to remove a patch of skin and insert an implant-grade titanium anchor with a gem attached.

Now, if you consider yourself an extreme romanticist you might argue that this is a more passionate way to express your love for your husband, since it's literally “a part” of you.

But personally, this seems far too dramatic.

Some may have thought it was a little crazy for Beyonće and Jay-Z to tattoo their wedding rings when they tied the knot, but getting a diamond sewed into your skin is next level. We’ve heard the saying beauty is pain, but does that count for love too? What do you guys think, will you be getting an unconventional engagement or wedding ring?
