Hot damn… that all we got for Michael B. Jordan’s latest magazine cover with Essence magazine. The “Black Panther” villain flaunted his 6-pack abs and lower cut on the June 2018 cover wearing an open red track jacket and matching pant. Can this man be any finer though [drools]?
Outside of giving the ladies what they want (that perfectly sculptured body), which he nonchalantly credits to the “baby oil lady” on set of his shoot, Michael opened up about rumors of him not dating Black women. And, issa lie! Which means we can all shoot our shot.
Jordan says: "My dad and my mom both said, 'If they only knew.' If they only knew. And that's the thing that keeps me not tripping about it, you know what I mean?"
Well J, we trying to find out! The actor further elaborated on the public eye’s speculation on his relations and basically implies that no one actually knows, it’s all assumed based on appearances.
"It makes me hesitant about whoever I'm seen with. I'm finally starting to get to a place now where I don't care, but it bothered me for a minute."
And if knowing that we actually do have a shot with the actor wasn’t enough, Michael B. also spoke on empowering women, specifically in his line of work.
"I'm raised by strong women, since the majority of people in power are men, when we speak up it gives them firmer ground to stand on when we support them. I'm not the poster boy for it; I'm not the guy who's trying to get in every cause, but at the same time when they call me for help, I'm there...I'm going to be there to support them.”
See, we knew there was a reason we loved that man. Check him out on the cover of Essence for the second time this year!
