Zendaya is all grown up and we loving it.
The 22-year-old actress and activist was seen in NYC yesterday (Oct.11) speaking at Vogue magazines Forces of Female panel. Where she spoke about the importance of learning about other people’s jobs when you work on a project — because one day you could be running it.
On the heels of clearing up rumors regarding being casted as the first black Ariel for Disney’s The Little Mermaid, this mini icon has her heart set on directing and creating opportunities for people.
Zendaya said, “The more and more that I’ve been in front of the camera, the more I’ve become interested in how it’s created. My goal is to, at some point, create space and room for other people. To me, the only way to create the things that I want to see is to create them myself. It’s one thing to try and change other people’s minds, and it’s a totally different thing to just do them yourself."
We're glad to see this young queen paying it forward and lending her voice to great causes. We will be following along as she continues to slay!
