On Saturday night (Oct. 27th), producer DJ Mustard popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Chanel Thierry, and of course, she said yes!
In an eye-watering video, the music producer responsible for signing Ella Mai can be seen surrounded by friends and family as he proposed on one knee to the mother of his two children, Kauner and Kylan.
Naturally overwhelmed with excitement, Chanel cried tears of joy before saying, “yes!”
"The best moment of my life. My best friend proposed to me," she captioned the video.
In the next video, the newly engaged owner of Le Rêve Hair Collection can be seen showing off her huge $500,000 custom made engagement ring stating, "This is so big.”
Excited by her engagement, Chanel penned this heartfelt message to her future husband.
"I knew when I met you at 16, it was something about you about us, I didn’t want to mess up," she shared in an Instagram post. "You stayed my friend even tho we both wanted to be more... We was scared. I didn’t want things to go left. We remained really good friends as we watch each other go through failed relationships. Finally after 3 years we decided to take a step out on fate, and date.
When I got pregnant with Kiy I was so scared, you told me 'I got you, I got us.' I dropped out of college, moved out my moms, stayed in YG’s garage for a while (yup, that’s what love will do), then to your moms, until we got enough money to get our apt. No matter how much I pressured you 'I don’t need a ring, let’s go to the court house' you never folded. Constantly reminding me that 'That’s not what we doing, when I do it, I want to do it on my own cause that’s what u deserve'."
And he delivered!
Custom made by Eliantte, the massive 18-carat engagement ring features an 8-carat diamond center with 10-carat stones surrounding the custom CC design.

So, what's that explanation behind the elaborate ring?
According to Mustard, it was eight years since they had their child, Kiy, so he decided to get “8 carats for each year” and “that’s just the center stone.”
After lots of planning, the ring was a complete success because, according to the 28-year-old music producer, his soon-to-be wife “slept in the ring.”
Who wouldn't? Just saying.
