Having Insecure withdrawals? Don't fret, because here at BET.com, we got you. This fall get into Brooklyn. Blue. Sky., an all-new BET original about two distant exes, a “Netflix and Chill” TV pilot competition and the binds that hold them captive to their youthful love. This eight-episode dramedy will serve up plenty of shade and plenty of laughs while exploring the complexities of Black love that go far beyond Netflix and Chill.
Everything is on the line for the series’ protagonists, Skylar (Jenelle Simone Valle) and Blue (Michael Oloyede), including their hearts. New lovers and friends Giselle (La Rivers), Hawthorne (Shannon Wallace), Dr. Simone (Adiagha Faizah), Duncan (Roland Lane), Chrisse (Nicolette Ellis), and Ellie (Maggie Belle Caplis) have no problem sharing their two cents about Skylar and Blue’s situationship, but it’s up to them to ultimately decide where they stand in each other’s lives. However, one thing is for sure — shade is indeed in the forecast.
Created and written by filmmakers Rhavynn Drummer and Dui Jarrod, Brooklyn. Blue. Sky. has won Best Web Series award presented by Xfinity at the 2017American Black Film Festival and Best Webisode at 2017 BronzeLens Film Festival. With recognition like that, you already know this series will be your next binge-worthy fave! Brooklyn. Blue. Sky. was produced by Christopher Hicks and Jenya Meggs.
