This Man Finds Waffle House Employees Asleep, So He Cooks His Own Meal
It's the middle of the night. You're looking for a quick bite. (Bars.) WDYD?
For one South Carolina resident, the answer wasn't as simple as one might think. You see, Alex Bowen jetted off to his local Waffle House in the wee hours of the evening last Thursday. His customer service experience, however, was anything but typical.
Alex entered Waffle House to find that upon his arrival the employees were quite literally sleeping on him. So he did what no (wo)man has done before (we think?): he used Waffle House's griddle and materials to make himself a "double Texas bacon cheesesteak melt with extra pickles," according to NPR.
One sleeping employee's fate did not fare as well. He was suspended from his job for a week, according to reports.
As for Waffle House's stance on the matter, well... possible safety hazards aside, they're impressed.
"Obviously Alex has some cooking skills, and we'd like to talk to him about a job since we may have something for him," Waffle House said.
Truly stranger than fiction.
