Singer-songwriter Kehlani is an open book. You ask a question, you get an answer.
Apparently her sexuality was a FAQ.
Ready to set the record straight, the 23-year-old took to Twitter on Sunday (April 22) with a series of tweets:
“Cuz I keep geddin asked… I’m queer. Not bi, not straight. I’m attracted to women, men, REALLY attracted to queer men, non binary people, intersex people, trans people. lil poly pansexual papa hello good morning. Does that answer your questions?” she tweeted according to E! News.
She then followed up the tweet stating: "and since we on that... i’m the LEAST attracted to straight men, y’all really adorable sometimes tho. bisexual men really are little gifts from god tho."
TBH: The tweets didn't go over too well with those who felt the post was "offensive" and sounded like "fetishization."
Quickly, both tweets were deleted and replaced with the following posts to clarify her thoughts and also apologize out of respect for the LGBTQ community.
Fans soon began to pour in with support and thanks for her sincerity:
For those who may think that Kehlani was using Twitter as her coming out, think again:
Got to love Kehlani, she's always going to lighten the mood.
What a way to kick off her 23rd birthday. HBD, Lani Tsunami!
