Need more details? Here's what we know:
Pretty much, Facebook is on a mission to make dating more interesting by allowing users to scope the scene of a party/event for a future match, before they even attend!
The idea is to let a user looking to be matched, choose and "unlock" an event they want to attend. Once the user choses the event he/she wants to attend, this will then indicate to other singles on the app that also want to attend the same event.
From there, you can start a private chat, exchange numbers, and meet up.
"It mirrors the way people actually date, which is usually at events and institutions that they're connected to," chief product officer Chris Cox said during the announcement.
