Are You Savage Enough To Invite Your Exes To Your Wedding?

Royal or not—this is awkward AF!

Were you tuned in this weekend like the rest of us to see our girl Meghan Markle marry Prince Harry? We secured the palace, ya’ll! And while we living for all the Black star power that showed out for the big day—everyone from Idris Elba (AKA DJ Big Driis) to THE Oprah Winfrey—but were a little thrown off when not one, but two of the prince’s exes showed up.

Chelsy Davy, Harry’s longtime on-and-off girlfriend, and Cressida Bonas, another ex who the prince dated were both in attendance for the festivities wearing their royal wedding best. Just a tad awkward, no? Well, we’re not the only ones who thought so. Of course the internet couldn’t get enough of the royal exes popping up and Chelsy had the unfortunate fate of being turned into one of the wedding’s biggest memes.

See for yourself:

Yikes! The bride and groom however seemed the least bit phased about their attendance. They invited the ladies so perhaps everyone’s friends…which is still a slightly weird considering Chelsy was probably gunning for Meghan’s spot once upon a time. Social media seemed to have a lot of opinions about this sticky situation, so we had to ask: Are you savage enough to invite your exes to wedding?

While this writer won’t be extending an invite to any of her exes for her future wedding (nor will my future husband), folks have all types of relationships with their exes where they’re in a healthy place and even friends (again, not my future husband).

So is it disrespectful to your spouse-to-be to extend an invite to your nuptials to former flames, or is the past the past?
