YouTube famous family the McClures have been catching A LOT of heat. First, over some old tweets that resurfaced of dad Justin McClure making racist and misogynistic remarks. Then, mom Ami McClure broke the news to their 1M subscribers that Justin actually isn’t even the twin’s biological dad. Fans of 5-year-old identical, bi-racial twins Ava and Alexis McClure feel as though they’ve been deceived by the family.

Justin has since apologized for his distasteful comments via YouTube and recently took time to reflect on the day he adopted the girls. He took to Instagram to post his thoughts on fatherhood along with a picture of the happy day.

“In July of 2016, I officially adopted Ava and Alexis. This was before our social media boom...just a family who fell in love ❤️ . I was ALWAYS meant to be their Dad - just had to find my way first, and then we found each other,” he captioned the image.

Here’s a snippet of his apology where he claims he’s “glad this happened” because it’s forced him to reflect on why he said these things.

What do you think, BET fam? Are you ready to forgive the McClure parents?
